not necessarily maybe just a preference.

Preference is mostly something you do in your personal life, not your professional life. And porn is a profession. We have all worked with people in our professional life we don't like for whatever reason for the greater good, which is making money. Here is another thing that is also interesting. Interracial porn (which is mostly black men with white women) is very popular in the South, and the majority of the viewers of this are WHITE MALES!!! When it comes to professional business, which porn is, the only color that should count is GREEN.

And to COP11, Christy Canyon. Canyon is a legend, and Bree has only been in the business a few years now.

You're right, it is a profession.... But it is a profession where someone puts their penis into YOUR vagina. To be honest, if she doesn't want to do interracial porn, then so be it, because ultimately, even in porn... you should have a say about what goes in your pussy.

Is it a sound business decision? Maybe not. Probably not. But sex is sex even if you're doing it for money, and if you can't find yourself attracted enough to a certain race to have SEX with them it's not racism in my eyes... It is still preference.

If straight girls can will themselves to have lesbian sex(some women in the industry only do girl-girl scenes if they get in a serious relationship) and straight men to have gay sex(it pays more), then you can certainly will yourself to have interracial sex.

But do you know how many women DON'T do lesbian scenes, and how many men DON'T do 'gay for pay'? You can't judge her for things OTHER people are willing to do.

Again, I see it as a personal thing. Sure many people can will themselves into things, but many can't for others. Simply because the preference has to do with race, doesn't mean it's racist.

That's just the way I see it.

Yes, its a personal thing, not a professional thing. What people do in their personal life, I really don't care. And if you're not gay and therefore don't wanna participate in gay porn, I understand that, too. However, I don't think that race should be a factor in the professional world of porn. Plus, it seems like the women get to decide whether they wanna do interracial porn or not. Do the male performers have that luxury?

And that's just the way I see it.

I actually have seen "Pornucopia", and while those statistics are interesting that still has nothing to do with what a person prefers. What the majority of porn stars decide to do should not influence what another person decides to do.

I understand completely that you think that because it is a professional setting, race should not be a factor. What I am saying is that while it is a profession, it is a profession that involves sex. Sex is is still personal. Sex for money is still intimacy with another person. That industry is uncomfortable enough, to not have a say about who enters your body. There are plenty of women who refuse to do anal. Should we be telling them their decision is stupid because it is profitable and popular? No. If she doesn't want something in her ass, she has ever right to say she doesn't like it.

If she doesn't like having sex with black men, it is because she doesn't feel comfortable with intimacy with a black man. Porn has become so industrialized (the biggest damn industry) that people seem to forget (sometimes the very porn stars) that sex is interpersonal and a (wanted) invasion of space. If she doesn't feel comfortable having sex with someone of color outside of sex, how is she going to magically be okay with it in the industry? "In my personal life, I don't like men of color. I can't turned on by them because I'm simply not attracted to them. But in my professional life, I grit my teeth and allow someone who I can't bring myself to enjoy penetrate me, possibly turning a personal preference into disgust for said race, for a paycheck."

It's not racist, but perhaps if these women were hounded enough to having sex with someone they don't like, you could be pushing them towards disliking not only the person but everything that person entails, including their race.

I don't want to offend you or jump to conclusions, but If you are a black male, I think you might be taking the race thing to heart (which you should in many cases, not that I need to tell you that). As a female, I take take this to heart because women get judged for who they let into them and now they get judged for who they don't. They never win. Porn stars are still women and while they sell sex... they are selling THEIR sex. If they aren't comfortable with something in their personal life, you can't expect them to be okay with it in the professional setting.

The statistics you showed me express that plenty of people push themselves into acts with people that they don't like. But does that mean that everyone should follow their lead? Hell, does it mean that anyone should?

If a person doesn't want to perform certain sex acts, I get that. Interesting quote that u used, but discriminating against a race of people based on the action of one or of a few, ALSO WRONG. Not to mention, it seems these actresses only avoid black men, no mention of Latino, Native American, or Asian men(granted, the last two aren't necessarily well represented in the porn industry, but you know what I mean).

And yes, I am a Black man, but I'm also multiracial. My mom is biracial, half-black and half-white. Not to mention, my white grandmother grew up in Nazi Germany. Many of my 2nd cousins are multiracial. I have every race in my family. You can take that to heart as a female, but its a double-edged sword for female porn stars. They make much more money than their male counterparts. A woman can make as much to 100-250K a year. Not to mention they can do thing on the sides such as strip shows, or just appearing at clubs. The average male makes a 3rd or less of that, like $40,000. So on that front, you women actually DO WIN.

Yes, many people push themselves into acts with people they don't like or even attracted to. Some don't even wanna be in the industry, but they don't really wanna see any alternative. Everybody should be their own person. However, in every profession you are in, you have to do things you don't wanna do. I'm sure actors and actresses don't like to be typecast in the same old type of roles, but they are. I think we both already said what we had to say on this subject. Interesting topic, fun to be discussing it with you. Still, I know we both we off-topic of what this thread is all about, so lets get back to that.

Just one quick point on something you said. Sure women make more money, but in the eyes of society, porn stars are enjoyed, but not respected. I've heard men who enjoy porn, call them sluts, thereby demeaning the very women they are 'enjoying'.

My parents are from Cuba (with afro-cuban roots of my father's side), but their families span Europe and Asia. I'm a mix too.

But I do think, we've both said what needs to be said.

I just want to THANK YOU, for having an intelligent, well thought out, opinionated yet respectful discussion. It really is becoming harder and harder to find something with an IQ higher than four on this forum, and even though we don't agree, I respect your opinion wholeheartedly and I respect you a person for not jumping down my throat for disagreeing with you.

Now, I have have say something on what you said. I think society's views on women porn stars and porn in general are changing. Not to say what you said about porn stars being enjoyed but not respected is wrong. However, it seems that porn is more mainstream now. They appear in rap stars' videos now(granted, maybe not the best example), and have cameos in some major movies and TV. Best example of this is the show Entourage. Jenavive Jolie, Jesse Jane, Devon, and Teagan Presley have all appeared on the show.

Sasha Grey is probably the best example of porn going mainstream. She appeared in Entourage last year, and played a major role as Vince's(the main character, played by Adrian Grenier)girlfriend. She was also profiled and interviewed by Rolling Stone Magazine. However, her biggest role was as the main character in "The Girlfriend Experience". She was picked by the film's director Steven Soderbergh, the Academy-Award winning director who made some major Hollywood hits like "Erin Brockovich" and "Traffic".

In response to your other comments, Cool, Agree, and Thank you right back, respectively.
