It's a frame type thing that was put on the picture afterwards, the entire editorial has things like that. I think it adds something, framing her face and focusing our attention on it further.

Wonderful picture, would get a 3 if Kim Noorda's would've had longer and wavier hair.

Still an awesome picture though 2.8
