Sons of Anarchy Exclusive: Lost's Harold Perrineau Joins Cast as Big Bad Damon Pope

Sons of Anarchy has tapped Harold Perrineau to join the Season 5 cast in the critical role of Damon Pope.

The Lost vet will play the ex-drug kingpin whose daughter was murdered by Tig in the Season 4 finale, creating what series creator Kurt Sutter recently called a “clusterf***” for Jax and SAMCRO.

“I definitely wanted to lay some track for Season 5 and put some complications already on Jax’s shoulder as he’s sitting at the head of the table,” Sutter told TVLine last year. “He’s already got a problem [going into Season 5].”

This marks SOA‘s second major Season 5 hire. Last month, Jimmy Smits was cast in a major season-long arc as Neron “Nero” Padilla, a Latino gangster who becomes an unlikely (and dangerous) mentor for Jax.

Good ad. Not a really a "Lost" fan, but I remember Harold from HBO's "OZ", a show I used to watch religiously. He was a major character as well as the narrator of that show. Obviously SOA and Sheriff Eli Roosevelt are gonna have their hands full. Both Jax and Chibs were pissed off that Tig went that route. Although Jax said that some black guys rolled up and shot Clay, and didn't say that the 1-9 Kings were involved. Also Eli mentioned that he was the baddest gangster out of Oaktown.

It's official: Ashley Tisdale's days as a Disney darling are over.

On June 19, the High School Musical alum, 26, continued to shoot scenes for her two episode stint on the FX biker drama Sons of Anarchy. Tisdale will play "a desirable, high-priced escort who complicates the club's life," according to

The Hollywood Reporter.

Tisdale was spotted on set in North Hollywood wearing a pink tank top, white mini-skirt and sky-high stilettos. She tweeted a photo with series star Theo Rossi, 37, who plays Jean Carlos "Juice" Ortiz.

The actress -- currently dating Step Up Revolution director Scott Speer -- began filming Sons of Anarchy June 14. "Knowing this is my favorite show I'm completely star struck by everyone that walks by," she

tweeted. "Act cool."

When FX's Sons of Anarchy returns for Season 5 in September, expect friction like never before between Gemma (Katey Sagal) and her son's fiancée, Tara (Maggie Siff), over issues like child rearing. Creator Kurt Sutter hints that things could eventually turn physical between the dueling dames, who'll turn to substances to calm down.

"Gemma loves Tara but might just be a little threatened by her now that she's suddenly been displaced as queen of the club," teases Sagal. "Gemma — who'll be getting her drink on — doesn't like to take s--- from anybody!" Look for Gemma to rough up some unlucky sap early in the season. As for Tara, Siff says her character "will be getting a little more messed- up in the head and volatile. You will also see her smoking pot to take the edge off." Perhaps it's time to rename this series The Real Housewives of Charming, California.

Even though I'm not much of a TV watcher...this is one TV show I wished I followed from the beginning. Actually got a good run of SOA a few days ago when I couldn't sleep and they had a mini marathon going on. I shall be keeping my eyes open for the new season no doubt...just so many questions at the moment

If you hadn't seen it since the begin, have you thought about watching previous seasons online? YOU MUST WATCH ALL OF THEM!

^ First thing that came to mind once the marathon was over. But with how I am on TV shows, I won't get to them all before the new season starts. Oh well, I'll make sure to DVR SOA from now on
