Ooooh, god, SI!! WHERE IS YOUR STYLE??!! Models in portrait shot squeezing their boobs together or sitting stretched out on a beach, looking off into the distance, is CATALOGUE! If there was a little caption at the side of 90% of these pictures with " bikini, $15, briefs, $10. Order through catalogue number" I wouldn't even be slightly shocked.

I say this every year, I know, but I wish SI would push to be more exciting, more artistic -- show more personality! When I think of SI I think of Paulina P in an orange bathing suit, perched on a roof-top with the sun bathing her skin. That shot was beautiful. Why do SI think Esti Ginzburg standing with a beach scene behind her, holding her elbow and looking vacent-sexy is more interesting? Why do they go for that shot 20x over?

I lament...

There are a total of SEVEN new 2011 Swimsuit videos for purchase. There is an hour-long behind-the-scenes video, FIVE separate videos for each location shoot with the models @ 30 minutes a piece (that's two and a half hours total of supermodels), and the 3D special starring Irina, Julie, and Alyssa.

The behind-the-scenes video costs $6.99, the FIVE separate videos are $2.99 each, and the 3D special costs $9.99.

Just by looking through the last few pages of this thread I got to know Cintia has tattoos?!? :| she probably has them for more than a year now and I read about it just 10 minutes ago lol.

Last year I thought Irina would get a cover, so it's nice to see she got it this year anyway.

Bodypaint looks awful, Shannan got the worst one.

I think you've identified the main problem: most of those shots, poses and locations are interchangeable. SI lost their edge years ago...

Most Disappointing:

Izabel - Goulart - I don't know if it was the location or she just wasn't on her A-Game, but she looked off. which is surprising considering that she has been modeling swim and lingerie for the longest and can do this type of work in her sleep.

Biggest WTF :shock:

Kenza Fourati - please. just no. like...I don't even know where to begin

Esti G. - she looks bored of being there, and I'm quite bored of seeing her there. it's a win-win really if she were to just not come back. no?

Damaris - there are soo many pretty black girls with great figures SI needs to find them, and she needs to stop jumping like a dolphin and pose dammit!

Irina? She's very hit or miss with me when it comes to her face, but I guess she's included...

Pretty boring issue and the body paint this year was AWFUL.

They could of taped each girl if they won before hand, so they had it handy. Irina might not of know. Then again she might of known.

Jessica White has really aged quickly in her face.

Irina said herself in an interview that she only knew she got the cover the moment it was revealed on lettermen. Of course she could have been told by SI to say that/ just plain ol lying..... <_<

I agree with SympathySillhouette... they could make there own stars if they wanted... they just have to let the models showcase their personalities more in the shoots. However, i guess it won't be that easy since the general public don't care about models like they used to in the past.

I will sell my soul for a gif of Cintia in her interview when she laughs, holds up her hands and goes 'ahhh' /giggle
