Skins

Well, since I have now officialy broke a few skins, I guess its time to get some skins up and running that will work well with this new 2.1 IPB.

So what I need from you is color combinations, I will leave the default (blueish) and I need 2 more options, so please post here your suggestions.

what if we just take the other colors we already have for the skins for example grey nights and make a new skin out of it....would that work?

I should have had this up a while ago. Anyway.

Alright, the folders and buttons near the topics would have to be changed by uploading the changed images to a folder and telling the control panel where it was. (So imagine those images are the same color of grey ) Not that all the images wouldn't have to be uploaded anyway IF the skin was used, but you know what I mean. I can't go and flip those out manually.

Anyway, colors changed, I can tweak the header bigger or smaller as needed. Yadda yadda.

This is basically showing that the colors can be switched and the images themselves can be changed if the only problem people has is coloring. Up where the "invision" thing is, we can make the image wider or taller, it just needs to blend in.

if u go to wft u can see that they arent the default skins with changed colors but other skins that tend to have a cooler look

Well, it can be changed around, depending on the images. Or you could pull the images completely and just have color blocks. I just tweaked the colors on the default to make surre it would work.

Same grey skin as before, but the width has been changed. I'm still screwing around.

i'm a fan of limiting the width, but that means we have to watch for dorks posting big pics a little more closely.

please no limiting the width, thats one thing i hated on the old skin we had before ipb. my screen is extremely wide and i hate seeing stuff narrow <_<

One could be 800 pixels wide and another 98%. It's all div tags and images anyway so it's not like it's hard. You just have to find the right area to change

When you put a % in for width that means it'll cover that much of your screen no matter the resolution.
