But I couldn't use the blending option. I tried it with this little animation, and it didn't work.

like which blending option?

The one where you take your base layer, copy it and then take little parts of the copied layer away untill you get a nice blended feel on your animation.

ooh ok, all of that takes practise! its taken me years to develop this kinda know how so its just a lot of time spent playing around. working on that kind of thing with still banners first is probably the best. because once you get a sense of layering you get a better hand on what you can do with blending in an animated banner

apparently it is, though I wouldn't exclude the possibility that some almighty malicioius daemon may be trying to trick me into believing that the world has not ended and replicated every aspect of reality, so that I continue to live the way I would as if the world had not ended.
