I think Adriana will be around for a long time, she is the supermodel of today. and it's not that i think she's a bad model, shes a great model but i don't find her face particularly nice and her attitude sucks.

Well she is the most popular one but look at the models today, 95% of them suck and all look the same. But unfortunately V, you didn't grow up in a time when supermodels really did rule the world.

The biggest difference is, that back in those days, everyone knew the supers. They did both high fashion and commercial things. Who now does know the current models? Only the fashion freaks like us. I think Gisele is the last supermodel, because she´s not only done high fashion & commercial too, been the model of the year and went through many, many successes, played in movies, etc, dated a famous actor, etc, so she got the people to know her. Even here, in Slovakia where people hardly know what "model" exactly means and tend to think it´s something like "Miss", they DO know Gisele and who she is. Apart from if I´m a fan or not, she´s worldwide. A phenomenon.

i agree with what jennka said,gisele is for now the last supermodel,by her merits of being a good model and i believe also for dating leonardo dicaprio in the beginning of her international carrer,but think that when she retires or get too old,they will find a new model to be very famous too.maybe this won`t happen to a lot of models like in the 80`s but i don`t think we won´t have any other famous models after gisele bündchen.model is about futility-not everytime,but many time-it`s not like food,you just don`t buy clothes for not being naked but also clothes that make you fell fine-i`m trying to simplify things- and a famous model,admired for a lot of people which makes you think about certain values,ideas has an important role about it all,so after gisele,there will probably be another one.i don`t know if so successfull as she is,but probably there will be cause the show has to go on.of course i can be proved wrong.

I think Gisele is the last of the greats as far as models go. She just has "It". No one else does. Of course we have other popular models like all the VS models but they will never be considered a Supermodel. They haven't done everything like Gisele has. And also we no longer have big time designers either like we did when Gisele started. And modeling for all the big designers was a HUGE deal back in the 80's and 90's.

10 - great voice (at least 3.5 and maybe 4 octave range), with good power and control, cowrites her songs and dances and I'm having a hard time thinking of a female in her age group who can dance and perform as well as her and sing that well at the same time. One of the friendliest famous people I've met, from my hometown and nice looking too .
