When you compare this article to the findings of when Boogaard (RIP) died it really brings a lot of things to light in the NHL with travelling and the journey, not saying the NBA is much different.

NFL & MLB different though at least you're home or in the same spot for days not constantly flying all over the place.

I think the minor league travel for the NHL & MLB has to be very taxing on the mind & body.

At least you get top tier travel accommodations in the NHL & MLB.

Think is was on SI.com a few years back was reading a story about a minor league baseball player and his life as a career minor leaguer, barely making enough to get by, living with 4 teammates etc... It was really rough  

I am almost positive majority of AHL travel is by bus which can be annoying  but I can't remember 

What's really sad is the "unpaid" College Athletes seem to get almost better conditions. I know they're in a college/uni atmosphere but still  

I assume AHL travel is crappy.

College athletes get top notch accommodations.
