for me LETTERS DO NOT MATTER AT ALL!! Especially when I scan models I do not collect. However I would bother to scan the entire letters only if it is a major fashion cover. Otherwise it is pointless. Photographs are important, not letters...lol
Which one do you prefer?
If I were an archivist, I suppose I'd prefer the image on the left. I think many here might prefer the image on the left. That's the original image and therefore it is the authentic image.
But me, I only care about Christy. I don't care about the magazine, or whatever Christy has been hired to sell. I don't care about "The Princess of Wales" or "Warhol's Animal Crackers." I have no attachment to logos or barcodes. I just want the picture of Christy, free of filigree and irrelevant distractions.
So, I go to any length to remove all that "crap" because I hate it and I want it gone from the picture.

I am an archivist. I love when everything is complete. I totally understand fan who did not collect papers. Even if I need to spend times scanning them, I'd rather do it well.
Removing "the crap" took a lot of time (more than scanning". I can not afford to remove them all. I already spent so many hours on stefmodels.

Oh man, removing the "crap" can sometimes take hours and hours to do! I wouldn't expect anyone else to be so obsessive, lol.
Thanks so much for what you do, Stefmodels is a WONDERFUL archive!!
