I'm french so i shouldn't say that but i rarely like our miss France... actually the comitee that chooses them wants them to be beautiful (erm) AND clever and they judge more their personnality than their physical appearance that's why we never win international contests lol... Miss france 2001 was voted miss europe 2002 tho lol

Well, Miss World and other contests like that are, all in all, beauty contests, I don't really believe the judges are judging personality that much... I know nothing about French contests, I'm just talking about those world-wide ones... After all, most of those beautiful young women are not outstanding intellectually... I don't mean they're stupid, not at all, it's just... If we want a personality contest, we should make one!

Pretty girl. The other pretty contestants were Miss Dauphine, Miss Flandre and Miss Pays de l'Ain.

The only few countries that pick looks over intelligence are the ones that win all the time.(Venezuela, Puerto Rico etc.)

India looks for intelligence more so the girls end up being very intelligent obviously, they have great personalities but are lacking in faces and body. That way you can have some outstanding contestants some time such as Aishwarya Rai, Lara Dutta, Sushmita Sen but recently the intelligent ones haven't been beautiful. There is a rival contest(Gladrags) that happens at the same time and it emphasizes more on looks than personality and their contestants are usually much prettier and have better bodies. Also, Lara Dutta, Aishwarya Rai were discovered by Gladrags before they went on to enter Miss World.
