I am glad you are getting into the genre!

Bioware has been my favorite game makers since 2003's Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic!

Their most recent game: Dragon Age Inquisition was fantastic. I am now on my 3rd playthrough and I love it more each time!

Story is what Bioware does best! And how your choices can effect the very universe around you. Everything you do has consequences.

Out of curiosity, what turns you off about the Witcher?  The story does seem more aimed at a male audience and the fighting looks repetitive to me.

I saw the story for the "Hearts of Stone expansion" recently.  It's good, too and very appropriate for halloween.

The content I really like has been: 1. above all, the worldcrafting and composing a world where magic/supernatural is normality 2.  The relationships of people, elves, and other creatures within this world 3. The mythology/lore being established (exotic creatures, ghosts, curses, monsters, witches, demons) 4. The quality voice acting and writing.  All the female characters look to be designed based on models and actresses, LOL and it looks to me that they used actual human actors to convey the emotions and translate them digitally. 5. The soundtrack is very good- slavic folk music and other creations that are carefully tailored to what's going on.

This is probably emblematic of what I like about the fantasy genre going forward.  What's your favorite media (eg. books, ) about this genre?  what else would you recommend?

I started to replay Mass Effect again since the Xbox reverse compatibility.

Mako driving is meh but the rest is good! I forgot.

Just waitin on Bioshock now

I haven't played Mass Effect since the 3rd one ripped my heart into pieces. 

I am looking forward to Andromeda though

I was reading that microcrap can't figure out how to get dual discs games to be reverse compatible AND

they released new games for it today but not Bioshock like ffs come on! 

Andromeda should be neat I agree, and ya the ending to 3, one of the guys i used to work with he was also huge into Mass Effect he just said no, he wouldn't even do the ending.

Which Bioshock are you wanting to play? Or is it just all 3?

I only played Infinite and it really fucked with my head. Amazing game tho!

The ending was the worst piece of crap ever! Ruined everything. Bioware is lucky I love them so much.
