Troubled supermodel Kate Moss has finally spoken out about the drugs scandal that rocked her career nine months ago, saying that she was 'stupid'.

Speaking to the newspaper which exposed her drug use, the Daily Mirror, Moss, 32, admitted that "I know I've been really stupid and childish," adding that she had learnt a lot over the past year and also choses her friends more carefully now.

The admission comes just days after a top London publishing house announced it would be publishing her ex-boyfriend Pete Doherty's diaries, which look set to reveal intimate details about the pair's relationship in volume of peoms and ramblings from the self-confessed junkie.

After having her mobile phone stolen and her car raided by a gang, supermodel Kate Moss is considering hiring a bodyguard.

According to the Mail on Sunday, the 32 year-old beauty wants to keep herself and her daughter, Lila, out of harm's way.

The car raid happened when Lila's nanny, Jade Davis, took her to a ballet class. After the class, Davis stopped the car on a rural road so that Lila could go to the toilet, but while the two were out of the car, a gang of youths stole the nanny's handbag and a large sum of money.

Burberry gathers Moss

Kate Moss has become the new face of Burberry - nine months after its bosses dropped her.

The British fashion house was quick to distance itself from the supermodel last year, after pictures showing her snorting cocaine were published.

Moss has now been reunited with Burberry and will front the 2006 autumn/winter campaign for the label.

The advertisement - shot by one of Princess Diana's favourite photographers Mario Testino - shows the catwalk beauty dressed in a white lace trench coat standing defiantly in front of a trio of models.

However, anti-drug campaigners have been critical about the label's willingness to forgive the shamed model.

Peter Stoker, director of the Drug Prevention Alliance, told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "Burberry could have publicly said that what Kate Moss did had influenced an awful lot of people and she should straighten up her act, whereas instead they are trivialising the impact of drug use."

Burberry was not the only company to cancel planned projects with the supermodel following her cocaine scandal.

H+M and Roberto Cavalli both ditched Moss, temporarily sending her career into freefall.

However, Burberry, famous for its check motif, was careful not to sever all ties, and invited her to their 150th birthday celebration earlier this year.
