^^
Negatives: Agreed, the new weapon is a garden variety heavy crossbow (used in the middle ages).
The weak part for me is still the Sand sisters/eununch stories.
The rumor (eg. Yara getting separated from Theo) turned out to be true
I like the introduction of previously unseen characters, like Hot Pie (I suppose this is the last we'll see of him), the elder Tarley, olenna, etc. The actor who played Hot Pie became more of a fatass.

I like Arya's mannerisms and makeup. Her mannerisms are clearly getting closer to the Hound's. The makeup makes her look like a prematurely aged child of war.

^^
To be more clear, I should have said that I don't like what is being foreshadowed with the new weapon. I don't want that to happen.

what did you want to happen?
So apparently Yara/Theon/Sandsnakes were a bunch of chumps lol. All the buildup in S6 and they're gone in ten minutes. So the odds are more even for the Lannisters, and now they have a new, budding ally.

^^
They did end up being chumps. I didn't care much either way about them but it was disappointing to spend a lot of time on characters and just get rid of them in a couple of minutes.
Euron is being made out to be a superhero which seems a little odd to me, but we will see what happens.
I don't know why I was being vague in the spoiler box so here: Cersei is going to kill a dragon, maybe more than one. I get why that's a good story, but I don't want it to happen.

My favorite scenes are basically always in the North. Just to hear Dany saying ''Jon Snow'' and Jon saying ''Daenerys'' is so rewarding after so many years of being a fan.

Since we know by now that all prophecies about Cersei are legit, I'm curious which 'little brother' will ultimately kill her. Euron or Theon? ![]()

Euron and Theon are not related to her? Probably Tyrion if the prophecy is true

Euron is very corny/cardboard to me so far. They gave him two or three scenes in S6 but he is really not a developed character. I wonder if he will be developed now? Otherwise, he's rather empty to be be a primary antagonist.

did you read the season leaks? I did yesterday and they appear to be accurate.

Wonder what this is supposed to mean?

if Cercei will kill any dragon i'll kill her myself ![]()
and she has the audacity to portray Daenerys as a monster even after what she did ![]()

same! i can't wait for the next ep ![]()
Olenna was a queen like always, she should end up on the throne tbh
YASSS when Jon chocked littlefinger.."i love sansa" yuck
Sansa rules
Dany looked so damn good this ep, she better burn Cercei alive instead
Theon disappointing, what a coward..i don't want Yara to die
the Jorah scene was hard to watch, i hope my baby will survive
Arya
i'm kinda happy Nymeria doesn't go with her tho, she's more safe there
i ship Missandei and Grey Worm, finally!..and Nathalie what a body!

^
Interesting observations.
I've heard that the books have ended and the show is basically fanfiction now.
Littlefinger's speech is so weird and stupid. It made no sense for him to try to charm and communicate with Jon in that way. If I was Jon, I would have assigned some people to watch Littlefinger.
I think Theo looked at Euron, did the math and said, "F*ck this". When he started gibbering , I was waiting for him to mutter: "Reek, reek reeeek.![]()
I've always thought that actor that played Jorah would appeal to many women physically but his behavior is completely submissive/supplicating. I find him difficult to watch.
The Sam scenes are interesting.
I was thinking that the Nymeria scene is supposed to be symbolic of something, like a change or signal for her to take a certain action.

I know the showrunners have meet with GRRM many times with one important meeting when they realized they were going to pass the books. My understanding is that they wanted to make sure the show ended the same way as GRRM is planning to end the books. The way they get there is likely to vary some (a lot?), but they wanted to be sure to get his approval.

Interesting and important information, thanks.

I don't dismiss the possibility they changed their mind later, but they are big fans of the books and GRRM, so I would imagine how it ends is really important to them.
I know a lot of people who were fans of the books stopped watching the show once it caught up because they don't want the story lines ruined. I don't think I could have done that, one of the reasons I'm glad I had not read the books before the show.

The show's already so massive. I had a similar dilemma with the Witcher. It too, was massive. I didn't read the books for either yet. But eventually I think I will.
There is so much fan angst due to the books that there were even TV comedy sketches and news/magazine articles done pointing it out.
teehee!

what's the point of Grey Worm and that woman? Will their plotline go anywhere?
