why the sad face?

I saw something on a show on HBO called The Sex Inspectors about this issue. One of the things that was said was you can train your tongue in the proper technique by doing it like you were licking ice cream from an ice cream cone. They actually took the guy to an ice cream shop and sat there practicing licking and talking about this.

Your thoughts?

Then of course if you're a really bad f*ck i guess you have to practise a bit but if you're not naturally good at it, chances that you improve your skills are little since your behaviour while having sex is a bit told by your hormorns

Practicing on the real thing is the best but you would have to have a woman willing to give you good feedback. AND you would have to be man enough to take it. Seriously, learning to adapt is critical. And even though many of the techniques translate universally, each woman is different and has to be "learned" in order to fully satisfy her.

Very true, but not everyone, actually few are in touch with the feelings of themselves and their lover enough to appropriately adapt their lovemaking skills to suit the situation. If we liken this to painting...we have very few Picassos while many people need "paint-by-numbers". Very few can see swabs of colored paint and a white canvas and create a piece of art. Most need specific direction and with this direction can actually accomplish alot. Let's not also forget the importance of building confidence.

I received a PM (source unnamed) concerning the validity of the "alphabet method". In case you don't know, this is one that suggests the giver to spell out the alphabet using his (or her) tongue on the receiver's clitoris. Licking the Alphabet

Believe it or not, Sam Kinnison's suggestion of licking the alphabet, one letter at a time, on and around her clitoris/vulva actually works. I had come up with a similar technique myself, but his version is pretty close to the perfect formula -- The real goal is to be able to keep regular, rhythmic motions going, but to change them in some gradual pattern that isn't so different it throws her off, but isn't so redundant that she grows insensitive to it. The alphabet is probably the longest chain of shapes that you can be sure to repeat smoothly and rhythmically, without loosing track of where you are. Unless you are a victim of public education, I suppose, in which case you may have to stick to the letters of your name, or the numbers one through nine (being too confused by where to put the zero).

Personally, I found the alphabet method distracting. I like to pay FULL attention to my woman and not what freakin letter I'm on. Also, you have to pay attention to when she wants that rhythm to take her over the edge. Timing is everything.

Give it a try, but don't rely on it completely that's for sure.
