I believe she's playing the Ringmaster. I could be wrong though.

My issue with Jessica is that her characters aren't really changing each season, sure the costuming changes, but not her constant resting bitch face, mean, uppity, self righteous, same ole self isn't. Frankly I'm bored with Jessica and would be happy for her to leave after the season is over.

As long as we have Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson & Lily Rabe the show is good to go.

“American Horror Story: Freak Show” begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience.

Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe and Evan Peters return. New cast includes Michael Chiklis, Wes Bentley, John Carroll Lynch, Finn Wittrock, Patti LaBelle and the world’s smallest living woman, Jyoti Amge.

Jessica is indeed playing the Ringmaster. I also agree about her characters, I hope she gets to show a different side this season.

I'm so happy that Matt Bomer will be in the show, I wish it was for more than an episode because I like him a lot. Too bad he has Magic Mike 2 at the same time
