Alcatraz

Just watched the opening episode, seems pretty decent and vaguely reminiscent of 'FlashForward'. The nagging feeling that this show may be similarly cursed refuses to shift altogether, but I'm sticking with it for the time being.

Watched the opening 3 episodes, been so, so, just deciding whether to keep with it.

Just when I'd more or less decided that I was in it for the long haul, along came the rather tame fourth episode. Still, the 'bigger picture' element is considerably more interesting to me than the 'personal story' aspect, and there was just enough of that to keep me hanging on. Let's see how it goes next week.

Loved seeing the green VW Beetle appear several times during episode 13's big car chase, ala Bullitt. Conclusive proof (as if any were needed) that JJ Abrams is a complete nerdlinger...

...and that I'm one too, for getting the reference.

Pity. The show wasn't exactly without it's flaws but it certainly had potential.

I started to watch this show; It was good, but I never came back to it...

Knowing my luck I'll rediscover it in few years and wish it was still on.
