Margot Robbie Says A ‘Barbie’ Sequel Might Not Happen
Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” grossed $1.4 billion worldwide which then led to Mattel immediately greenlighting 14 films, all now in various stages of development, this did not include an inevitable sequel for “Barbie.”
Margot Robbie’s recent comments, expressing doubts about a “Barbie” sequel should not be taken seriously. Here she is speaking to the AP:
I think we put everything we had into this one. We didn’t build it to be a trilogy or something. Greta [Gerwig] put everything into this movie, so I can’t imagine what would be next.
