Thanks a lot! Specially for Veronika.

I'd love to see some from '05 and '06 if you got them. Mostly looking for VS's "red" phase, where most of the models had red colored hair. Or blonde. I know there was a period where the girls were sporting lighter hair.

Hi Capt_Bob - I don't remember if I ever commented about your scans in the past or not, but since you're spending so much time scanning and you have such a great collection, I thought I should give you a few scanning tips. I scanned a few pages a long time ago, and my scans look a LOT better. I think the problem is that you're scanning at too low a resolution (I scan at LEAST 300 dpi, and 400 dpi is even better - you want to scan at a HIGHER resolution than the source resolution), and you're not "de-screening" (this "smooths" the halftone dot pattern). I'm attaching one of my scans for comparison. I can tell you all of the settings I used if you're interested. It seems like a waste of time to scan all of this stuff and not scan it at the highest possible quality. I've attached two 100% crops, one of them is my scan (on the left) and the other is your scan (on the right, "capt bob" in the file name). Notice the difference.

Btw, why does the file uploader say I can upload "unlimited" files up to "1 GB" in size, and yet it fails every time with a 5 MB file? I want to upload the full scan of that Stephanie Seymour page. I have a bunch of stuff I could upload and it never works!

Yeah man, thanks, I get what you're saying. But I am actually scanning a lot of this stuff - not all - at 300 dpi. The trouble is the higher resolutions just magnify the imperfections. I've found 300 dpi works best. Also I'm not using photoshop. Too damned much photoshop out there. And besides, most of these images already have been photoshopped - by the pros at VS. So I'd just be photoshopping the photoshopped. After a while the models no longer look human. They look like waxwork figures - not what I'm after. But people should feel free to take my images and "improve" them if they like - no problem. As long as I get credit for the original scan (lol).

I don't know if you're still looking for this girl but I think its Melissa McKnight. She was married to Matt LeBlanc years ago.

Thanks. I guess it could be. The name is new to me.

Hey Capt_Bob,
I just wanted to say thanks for all these scans. I'm really enjoying them.

It's certainly possible. But is it known that she did VS? I can't find her in a list of VS models on Wikipedia, but then I can't find Anja Kneller there either, so it's hardly a complete list. Google searches for "Melissa McKnight" & "Victoria's Secret" have so far turned up only false hits for me.
She was b. 1965. I remember seeing her in VS in the early 90's, during Jill Goodacre's heyday, and Jill was also b. 1965. So the age is a fit.
There's a small page on her at TFS, linked below. In several of these pics, she certainly looks like the VS girl we're talking about.

Thanks again. The face does look vaguely familiar. But - you know - a lot of these models look like other models. It's hard to them them apart sometimes - especially when you don't have too much to go on.

no that is her. she was a top model despite the lack of images of her floating around. I been trying to find stuff of her my vintage obsessed friends at fashionspot.
