Thanks Don - a great start to the new thread.

I hope to keep it great with this electro-pop tune by Grimes, my best discovery in the whole of today.

They were one of my top gigs of last year (Y)

Shut Up And Play The Hits, a documentary on LCD Soundsystem's last ever gig, will get its first airing later this month.

The film, put together by directors Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace who also worked on Blur's comeback doco, follows LCD frontman James Murphy before, during and after his band's four-hour final set at Madison Square Garden on April 2 2011.

Shins song is really so great music album of 2012. Shins provides very effective sound effect which attracts any person. I like the music of Shins so much, But I also wait for another amazing music album of 2012.

Consider me jealous! They played at a decidedly un-summery summer festival that I went to last year, and the elements on that particular evening did their stripped-back sound few favours. I'd love to go and see them at a smaller venue, preferably indoors.

More new Sleigh Bells

So this is the catchy pop tune that they were threatening to write after the first album.

Despite the greatly distressing news that School of Seven Bells are now one Deheza short of a pair, I still can't wait for 'Ghostory'.

not that there's anything wrong with it, but you guys are a little too hype on female musicians. (that's right, get at me feminists)

^On that note, let me inject some more manliness into the thread, with a rather spectaular live performance by Matt Corby from Friday. He's got a beard and everything

Plus a pretty cool cover he did of The Black Keys' Lonely Boy (Y)

Allow me to boost the manliness quota still further, with the new Arctic Monkeys video and accompanying b-side.

So this caught me completely off guard and made my day all at once - a new Jack White single and news of a debut solo album due in late April.

(Y) to the Jack. Do you know who's singing on that track with him?

MIA is no longer MIA

What does that mean?
