There's definitely some great books on mushrooms out there. I especially love the encyclopedias although there are some with a more reader friendly presentation for those that may find those boring. I love encyclopedias myself
. The tricky thing is that there are a lot of toxic ones that look like edible ones and some that have say a toxic stem and edible cap. The second of the two isn't as bad if you know what it is. The more tricky part is the ones that look almost identical to the edible ones. I guess its best to get them from a store if there's any doubt. Some do use them as meat substitutes. I know I did (with portabellas in particular) when I was a vegetarian (long story although plant foods are still my number one food group) and they are also a great addition to a meat burger
. As a matter of fact, I find it hard to resist putting some on one. Here is where I may lose my animal rights cred a little more
but I must preface it by saying that I don't believe in consuming endangered animals and I try to only eat from those that put them down humanely. Actually, a fun fact is that humanely killed animals taste better too. I also believe in eating animals fed their natural diet and they are higher in Omega-3s anyway. I also only use whole grain bread and can accommodate those with a gluten sensitivity although I have no problem with whole wheat myself seeing as how I'm not allergic to gluten at all. Those wild hogs are pretty aggressive, but I guess I can't blame them since they're used to running from cayotes, wolves and such. These are some random grass fed beef burgers.

I love to experiment with different types of lettuce as well as even substituting other leafy vegetables and even edible herbs. I heard Bob on Bob's Burgers mention putting basil on one and I realized that I grow all kinds of herbs and need to put those on there and it was so awesome. Another thing that's fun to do is to experiment with different types of meat with either a food processor or meat grinder. I don't grind my own turkey because of the bacteria, but I have with salmon, goat, boar, some other fish and such.
Oh I so hear ya there. I will never hunt for wild mushrooms for the fact that I am so picky about making a mistake I would never pick one for the sake of my own safety
Although tagging along with an expert would be more my route if it ever came to that
And good rule of thumb with what kind of meat you consume. If only the average American would see these mass meat packing/slaughtering/processing facilities would they be less eager to consume it from those outlets rather then the grass feed variety as it once was the main diet course cows were feed till the mass subsidies given to farmers to grow more food such as corn that it became cheaper to feed them maze rather then their natural diets of grasses. And the worse part about that corn diet is cows are not built to digest corn and it basically kills them slowly for those limited months they maintain that diet to fatten them up quickly and then "off to the slaughter house".
Thus why cows are heavily injected with antibiotic to counter react with stomach ailments from a corn diet. As a rule of thumb we try to limit red meat as much as we can to start with as man wasn't built to consume it everyday but rather a rare commodity to enjoy. Oh and nice play on the leafy greens. I tend to stay clear of iceberg lettuce and head more towards baby greens for my homemade burgers. But the introduction of herbs sure sounds like a good way to experiment. Hmm, now I have thoughts rummaging in my head in that regard ![]()

Foo Fighters
So Amazing
YES! I was hooked to their song The Pretender for a LONG WHILE when it first came out.

So Pheno (Whitney) and I were talking and I asked her to draw me a picture on paint (the standard program that comes with each pc and is a total bag of shit), so she did.... Take in mind she was half a sleep and using only her left hand to draw.. (she's right handed) ... also it's not finished.

Pretty awesome right?

I haven't met a lettuce I didn't like
. Actually, I haven't met a leaf vegetable I didn't like in general even though I like some more than others. Great point about the red meats. Humans just don't have the acidic enzymes, teeth, saliva, short intestines, tongue sweating ect. for it to be our main thing like carnivores. Like you said, it is a heck of a treat though. I'm from the country myself and witnessed those horrors first hand which is part of why I was a vegetarian for a bit during my football days (and an offensive lineman at that, serving a 290lb rebuttal to anyone who says vegetarians can't get enough protein
). Even aside from corn and grains, some are fed remains from put down animals, sewage and cement dust too
but since many live their whole lives confined side by side in dark rooms, they just take what they get. Even aside from the animal rights thing, the grains are wasted. It takes 17 pounds of grains to produce only 1 pound of beef which is estimated to be enough grains to feed everyone on earth several times over annually. Also, 95% of the oats and 85% of the grains in general in the U.S. are fed to cattle too
. Back to the vegetarian thing, afterwards, I started incorporating meat back into my diet, deciding that eating it in a balanced diet, putting them down humanely, buying from those that do and eating those who ate their natural diet and those free of hormones, tranquilizers ect. was the way for me. Plant based foods are still 90-95% of my diet anyway. As you can see, I still loves me a good burger here and there though. A friend of mine said she met Taylor Swift and that she was nice. Of course, I assumed she was nice ever since she did the celebrity take me to my prom thing for that boy. It is interesting to know that she's now met Taylor and Kanye both ![]()

Ahaha, that is actually pretty legit for the slight handicaps she had in drawing this
Tell her to draw me one of Iron Man giving the finger to the Green Lantern ![]()

I quit WoW today ![]()
You must convince me on this Perez ![]()
I get that her body is bangin', but there's gotta be more!

^ Ya know, I was on the same boat till MissLimaVZLA showed me this clip below, it sealed the deal for me:

A women that will go out of her way for a shoot like this, barefoot, straddling over some jagged rocks on a precarious cliff side has my vote. Plus, she is well composed and spoken all thru out. So women has the body, mind and personality to go hand and hand with each other...do we really need more? ![]()
Hmm.. respect for that, but there's something that really bothers me about her face. What's her work outside SI like?

Well she has had a few shoots and quite of bit of catalog work (majority at the moment) and at 17 pages for her topic there is so much to come from her with the way things are going thus far.
Below are a few of my fav shots outside SI to hopefully convince you a tad more of her capabilities:

Now to her face, what might be the issue? Is it her eyes, nose or the overall shape of her face? We must start narrowing it down here somehow ![]()

Ah well fair enough, I was sort of pin pointing the eyes here as a guess since that was the one feature that caught my attention first then any other in terms of the intrigue factor.
And those 2 shots you pointed out, she really looks darn gorgeous in those doesn't she?
Why I had to share those, they really do more justice to her face then some of the other shoots.
Well hopefully you shall be sweating bullets with her pics in no time at all ![]()
