A few people have told me that actually, and if I'm honest, I briefly considered upgrading too. Problem was, having finally splurged on a PS4 earlier this year, I don't know if I can really justify the expenditure at the moment.
I didn't realise there'd been any updates made, what did I miss?

A PS4! I think you did well with that, forget Pokemon GO for now
Well, they disabled the tracker in the game which pissed off a lot of people because now u have to meander about aimlessly looking for the Pokemon near you. But not only that, they also sent off a cease and desist order to a website called Pokevision which was developed in response to the broken tracker in the game. So ya, piss off a lot of people they did! And now after their last update their is ALSO a glitch where the Pokemon are now that much more difficult to catch due to the aim mechanics not working accordingly 
Niantic is dropping the ball a lot lately with this game and it's been a month only

Yeah, I resisted the PS4's lure for quite a while, but 2016 looked like such a good year for new releases that it felt like the right time to take the plunge. I'm now looking at getting GTA V, No Man's Sky, MGS5, Fallout 4 and Uncharted 4 at the very least. Then perhaps Abzu and either FIFA or PES. If you know anyone who wants to buy a kidney, let me know.

Fixing the tracking will be a must, and the biggest trick will probably be developing something that allows you to conserve more battery power, even without the Go Plus device. I like the idea of the trading feature though, as well as the spontaneous interactive battles, which I'd imagine will happen at some point down the road too.

Ahahah, oh man that is quite the line-up there And I will make sure to get back to you on the kidney offer I'm guessing GTA V would be the first to take a plunge into?
Luckily they have fixed the tracking feature Funny what a week of pissed off Poke fans will do to expedite a proper fix But as far as the other updates, time will tell on how they will all work. I just hope they implement them soon since many people are starting to tire of just catching and gyms.
