So, I was watching The Simpsons the other day and Homer and Barney were competing to become the next astronaut for NASA. Homer can't wait for the upcoming swimsuit portion of the competition:

"Mr. Simpson, there is no swimsuit portion of this contest."

"You mean I spent all that time shaving my bikini zone for nothing?"

That's when I realized, there is no discussion thread for this topic. So, ladies: How do prefer to keep yourself groomed? Do you think guys should do a little grooming themselves? Guys: Do you have a preference for how women groom their "personal area"? Do you do anything to tame your own brush? Don't forget to vote on your favorite style!

Dang. I knew I forgot something. I meant to have that as an option, too.

How do you edit a poll once it's been created? Or is that a task only a moderator could do? If it's the latter, mods please add "heart" to the poll options!

*Hissss* Why don't you wax your scrotum then!!

Is hair bad on a girl's head, eyebrows, eyelashes... huh!?! huh!?!

Wtv, I think hair is ok there if it's properly groomed and under control!

I don't need to wax it, I have a straight razor.

Look girls, I don't know how you feel about guy pubes, and I don't care. But if you want me to stick my tongue down there, you're going to have to shave. Bristles on my face are annoying, and those little fuckers can pierce skin sometimes, and the worst part about it is you can't even see them sometimes!

terminal cancer is an easy way around that problem. stick with chain smokers and the hair will take care of itself

oh, and lazy, (since you added an edit), I don't like to need a machete to find the little man in the boat, but my face isn't usually clean shaven, and I don't get many complaints about girls kissing sandpaper or something, so I figure I'm in no position to complain

eh, once you shave your pubes once, it's very easy to maintain after that. The first time you may need clippers or something. Once shaven, you really wont want to go back, plus the hair growing back can be very uncomfortable... The itching, getting caught in boxer fibers.... But I've been shaving mine for years now, and there is no itch, and hte ladies really are delightfully suprised to find no hair.

wow actually, saying "pain" I meant just what you said : the hair growing back can be very uncomfortable... The itching - sometimes this can really hurt... And I envy that u don't have that problem anymore (cuz I shave for years and still itching etc)

when i first started i did get a lot of itching. But i used some lotion for that. Also it could be the way you're doing it. Try a new razor, or even a new soap. I think it's safe to say that there will always be a few nicks and red spots, but pubes come out of flat holes, rather than round ones. That's why they come out all swirly, adn that is also why they tend to bend back and become ingrown! Ingrown hairs are the gross looking pimple sort of things you see every now and again. The more frequently you shave the better off you will be. Less itching, less irritation and ingrowns.

understood. But you know - it's that I do not really want to get my hair used to the situation to be shaved - so for example when for 2 days or more I have no opportunity to shave, I do not want to end up with a wild, super speed growing bush of hair

dunno whether the intensity of shaving speeds up hair growing?

it shouldn't.
