I did see the video, it's epic I love how Chris doesn't take himself too seriously and is always joking around tbh, he is so cute and goofy and yes extremely handsome

I just saw Into The Woods, most overrated movie EVER. Other than Meryl's acting the movie is a torture o.o

Anyhow just came to post this awesomeness, basically the first Bohemian Rhapsody cover I've ever liked and thought it was something that wouldn't make Freddie Mercury die all over again

One day I should manage to play piano properly...

What are your thoughts on the cover? Everyone always covers BR and 99% of times it's a massive disaster but I actually love this one and It's so so good and unexpected considering that band is not the best thing ever.

I have mixed feelings about it actually.

The singer does a great job on the piano, and even though his voice doesn't sound anything like Freddie's, he sings it really good. Besides his singing the backing vocals work they do is really well done, considering there's only 3 people singing and that the song has literally hundreds of backing vocals. So, so far so good.

But on the other hand, I didn't like the guitar work, his tone doesn't really fit the song that much. And since that's just a personal opinion, during the solo he goes quite out of tune in some notes.  When he bends the strings he doesn't quite reach the note he should reach, he falls short by a little (which is noticeable if you compare to Dr. May's solo).

And I'm not sure how I feel about them using the original song on the background during almost the whole performance. Sometimes it works, and well, you can't really blame them since it's such a complex song with all those thick arrangement layers, specially in the "operatic" section. But I don't know... it feels like they just decided to play over the original recording.

But on a general note and leaving those things aside, they really did a great job with the song! It sounds good from beginning to end, which is not at all an easy task.

I expected much less to be honest 

It's obviously not a flawless cover and it does have some details but I swear I cringe at every BR cover I hear So this one is good enough for me. Also this a live cover which makes it even harder because they tend to suck even when recorded so I think Brendo Urie made a fine job, of course he doesn't sound like Freddie but I think he did a fine job adjusting the notes to his own voice. 

When I saw the tittle of the video i was like "great another shit cover" but I saw the comments and got intrigued and tbh I was surprised it was so good too

Ah yes, I forgot considering the "detail" that it's a live cover  I have to say I was impressed by the singer. He never went out of tune and he reached all those higher notes that aren't specially easy.

(Still not so impressed with the guitar  )
