Henry C. will not be Superman anymore.  Too bad, he was quite unlucky with the role even though I liked him.

This is insane. This will 100% have been a contributing factor in him quitting the Witcher (though probably not the only one since he was publicly complaining about the writing even during the press tour for season two).

But it's pretty clear he does not jump from a secure job like the Witcher if he didn't have a great gig like Superman waiting for him.

If Lauren Hissrich at all thinks she can mend her relationship with Henry, she needs to do it and dump Liam Hemsworth as soon as possible. If she wants to salvage what is left to salvage from her show, that is.

It has the appearance of a pretty unlucky career move.  Being the Witcher, even if the Witcher show isn't good, is better than being unemployed in hollywood.

He really hasn't been in too much over the past few years:

Liver king is a marketing genius!

And I like him (even if I won't eat bull's testicles or take any roids)

Also I think eating all your meat raw (including offals) is kinda dangerous.

Interesting! Sounds like The Witcher production staff want to ruin Henry Cavill's reputation to try and deflect blame for his departure from the show.

I'm guessing the writer who was fired is Beau DeMayo (the same guy who revealed that several of the writers on the show hate the books).

Since I have never heard from any other movie set that Cavill is hard to work with, I find this very dubious. I can imagine he was frustrated with the writing and increasingly let this know to the writers room. But people can't really blame him for that.

IMHO Chris Bumstead has best and most superhero like physique.  But it seems to be taking a toll on him, he's had kidney problems, looks older than he really is and he is losing his hair.  his mid-section is getting bigger, he doesn't look as good this year.

Can you think of another actor that could be superman?  I can't think of any.

I think Tyler Hoechlin is actually a decent TV Superman but you could probably not transpose that to a movie.

They will find someone. Remember that Brandon Routh once upon a time also came out of nowhere.

In any case, James Gunn seems interested in doing a Superman Year One type story, so the actor will be probably be much younger than Cavill.

I wonder if they might have considered Noah Centineo had he not already been in Black Adam.

imho neither actor has the face for it (don't know about their acting capabilities though).  Didn't know Tyler was the kid in Road to Perdition!

I'm down to the final 12 hours of the Dance of Dragons and completed approx. 183 hrs of audio over the past couple of months.  For the past 12 hrs or so the quality has declined to about the level of Feast for Crows (3.5 out of 5) and I find myself even getting bored from time to time and zoning out despite listening while I'm outside and not really distracted.  It's that irrelevant at times.

My hunch about GRRM (from watching House of the dragon) running short on ideas and constantly recycling concepts really manifested in books 4 and 5.  At least circa 2011 it is evident that he is stuck.  He's short on ideas and ways to move characters and the plot forward.  There is a lot of procrastination that manifests in various ways.  Entire chapters pass with only a small amount of forward momentum, it's like a chronicle of the character (an episode of a say a long -running TV show) rather than a tightly focused aspect of the plot.

Books  4 and 5 could have been reduced by a lot.  Maybe as much as 40-30% and it would read a lot better.
