On how she is making her new home:“In her new home, for example, 80 percent of all construction waste was reused or recycled,” according to the blog on giselebundchen.com. “Also, Gisele chose to use recycled stone and wood materials, insulation, appliances with the green seal and a variety of other sustainable products.”
I think Gisele needs to chill out with the green nonsense. She just bought 1 million dollars worth of furniture. So even if 80% of it was "recycled", she still left a much larger carbon imprint than any normal person because she bought 100 times more furniture than the average American. Spouting off about general environmental issues from your palatial Brentwood estate is not going to go over well with the general public. And in the wake of Breastfeedinggate, this is something Gisele needs to be paying a bit more attention to. What she needs to do is narrow her focus. Like in Brazil I know one of her main issues was trying to make one specific river cleaner. That's a much better approach and doesn't open you up to charges of hypocrisy. She should focus her environmental efforts on one specific place or issue, preferably one that resonates with Californians and dedicate herself to just that. Like what Clint Eastwood has done with San Onofre Park.
she kind of does do that already with her sandals line. Each campaign every year, focuses on one specific effort and the proceeds made from sales, go to those specific causes. (water dress ads helping the river/water, latest sea collection helping the sea turtles,etc...) 
but maybe something more American focused would be nice, I agree. (even though I doubt any good efforts she does put out will get reported on (in fact they never do bc that doesnt sale mags,lol), they just like to report on something they can make into a negative.

One day a guy *i couldn't understand his name* of our town who was starting his business made one casting and said that one of our girls had the features to be a model, it sounded strange for me and i disagreed of the idea, but in our family we have a philosophy which you can't steal anyone's dream,one this dream was awaken we had to make a premature decision of sending a 14 years old girl to the fashion market in Sao Paulo
Jo: yeah, it is a very complicated situation...
Valdir: Yeah, it was a very complicated situation, because for Sao Paulo people she was just one more girl but for us she was a daughter we sent to fashion market, it is really complex
Jô: yes, because anyone's able to predict someone's future
Valdir: well, since this moment we were really insecure; children always ask to their parents: "Dad what can i be?" or "What career should i follow?", since this we started to research what kind of signs we could identify exactly what kind of profile the other girls would have
Jô: are the other girls younger than Gisele?
Valdir: The oldest is Raquel who's already 37, Graziela who's 35; the twins, Gisele and Patricia are 30, Gabriela is 28 and Rafael is 23.

Valdir: Yes that's true, but i think each one in her own way is a model.

It was really nice to talk to you, i ask you to sen kisses to all the girls and your wife; and also a kiss to Gisele who came here for the first time in the beginner of her career with two other models, and the cutest thing about them was that they were really young and i made a joke about ice creams and at the end of the show they were devouring the ice creams.
