It's the third time I participate in this race but it's the first time I do it to the ultimate finish line at Valle Nevado, and also the first time I do it on a road bike.

The 2 previous times I ran to Farellones, another ski center at 2400 m of altitude (that's around 7870 ft for the metric impaired) and at 33 km from the starting line (20,5 miles). Valle Nevado on the other hand is at 3000 m of altitude (9842 ft) and 45 km away from the starting line (or 28 miles).

Also, both previous times I did the race on a mountain bike.

 

My goal was to do it in less than 3 hours. I couldn't do it this time but hey... 3:06 hrs it's not that far away from the goal anyway!  

 

To put that time in perspective: the first time I did this race, and "only" up to Farellones I did 3:03 hrs. So we can say I've gotten a bit better  

 

Oh, but I won no bicycle this time  

Well done, friend! And these moutains look amazing. I love going to the moutains in the summer, I'm sure you had a great view when you were at the top.

It was the first CD of Iron Maiden I bought. I clearly remember pressing play the for the first time and being COMPLETELY blown away by Invaders. I was immediately hooked.

Oh yes, the view up there and actually all along the road was incredible.

Something new with my clones and something a bit different this time.

This is a completely acoustic song featuring only acoustic guitars and some percussion. Also, there's not an actual bass on this song but instead I'm "singing" - or more like humming - the bass line, as McCartney does in the original.

Now that I think of it... it's incredible they haven't done it already. 

Being today the 50th birthday of THE BEST ALBUM EVER,  the enormous White Album by The Beatles I put together a Youtube list with all the covers I've done from it.

There's some newer ones (like the one I uploaded this Monday) and some quite old ones so the quality will vary.

The videos are not in chronological order but in the album's order.
