A couple of songs you won't find: Chained and Kingdom of Rats are new and aren't on any album yet.

Thought/questions on the virus in South America:

- Ecuador's numbers have to be wrong. I say this because I can't believe they are doing better than Peru, Chile and Argentina.

- Bolsonaro is crazy, right? Of course, this is not a new idea.

- Saw this chart on Wikipedia. Someone made it with numbers from the ECDC. I wish it had other South American countries for comparison. It makes me think temperature/season has to have some effect.

Ecuador was doing really bad when the virus started arriving in South America, but by their official numbers, things seemed to have stabilized now. I thought their numbers were quite suspicious back then and I wouldn't be surprised if they are now.

About Argentina, I know they have taken very strict quarantine measures and that may be actually keeping their infection numbers down. But on the other hand they have been testing very little: not even 4000 tests per million people. Both Chile and Peru are testing at over 30.000 tests per million people. Ecuador isn't testing much either and neither is Brazil (which makes their number much more worrying).

But concerning Chile... things are awful here: almost everyday the daily cases number is higher. We've been having more daily deaths everyday this whole week. A week ago we were on 40 something deaths per day... today it was 87.

We're having at around 5000 new cases daily. For a 19 million people country. Compare that to the USA at its worst, having 38.000 for a 330 million people country.

If I'm not wrong we're currently the country having the most new cases per million people... and right now, not counting the small ones (those with less than 6 million people) we're the second country with more total cases per million people. Only behind Spain...

Also, around an 80%-90% of the daily new cases are concentrated in Santiago. Which causes the quarantine here to keep going for longer.

Bolsonaro is an asshole and Brazil is now suffering the consequences... This guy can even make Trump look good... or less bad by contrast... that's how disastrous he is.

Him on one side and Maduro on the other are the worst things that could have happened to South America.

I don't know. I'm not sure if there's any conclusive evidence about the temperature and season effect yet.

SEEMS like the northern hemisphere is starting to do better which might be related to the season change. At the same time, at least in South America things are getting worse... but Fall/Winter and all, Brazil is not cold at all this time of the year and we can see the mess they are right now. Not long ago the situation was really bad in the Amazonas state, which is not precisely cold.
