Bad news, I looked at some projections for the virus. It looks really bad for South America, North America, Africa, and some countries in Asia. I will leave out the specific numbers, mainly because I really hope they end up being wrong.

The gap between the countries handling it well and the countries not handling it well is getting bigger.

I read that people in Chile are doing a good job wearing masks. Have you noticed that to be true?

To be honest  this doesn't surprise me at all... here we had a decrease in the new cases number these last few days but winter is barely starting so I don't hold my hopes up. It may very well get worse again. I hope the projections are wrong as well but I'm not precisely optimistic about the situation in Chile. In Brazil is getting worse and worse (no surprise at all really) and I've seen numbers are going up again in the USA (new peak today and well... after this month events and everything else is not surprising either).

So far it has only been handled well in parts of Europe and east Asia as it seems.

Mind you, I've been following the numbers but I haven't watched news in like 3 weeks already.

Yeah, it's not.

I mean, most people you see outside are indeed wearing a mask. But most of them are wearing it wrong... either touching it the whole time or wearing to cover their mouth only, leaving the nose uncovered. I've even seen people just taking it out and wearing it around the neck  Or doing that to smoke... or eat something.

It's been really warm this week so it's tough to stay awake at evenings/nights..

I debuted 3 original songs yesterday and I have 2 new covers (new in the sense that they haven't been played on any stream yet. They're both on Youtube) to make their debut on Sunday  

Oh and today I'll work on the backing track of another original song that'll be included in a week or 2. You'll like it!

That's too bad. I need to go back and see where they got their information about Chile from. In most countries they can only judge mask wearing by polling people and hoping they tell the truth, that's probably why they think people are wearing masks in Chile. Masks are the easiest thing to do to help slow the virus, and people don't want to wear them.

Well, it is true that most people are indeed wearing them. But half of them or more are wearing them wrong.

At least people here, in the majority, are willing to wear masks. We don't have that inexplicable issue I saw the USA for example is having of people not wanting to wear them in this context.

^  Many Asian countries started with an advantage on masks since so many wear them in normal life to protect against normal illnesses like the flu. There are no hesitations in those countries, for vanity or any other reason.
