Today it's been 14 years since the death of Layne Staley, probably my favorite voice of Grunge and one of the most important figures of the movement.

Alice in Chains is by far my favorite band from the Seattle scene and this is my little tribute to Layne.

How fun/hard is it playing the bass line? i always liked it listening to the song  

It's actually very easy, but being such a great bass line it's still fun to play.

Of those I've recorded some of the more fun to play (which are usually the harder ones too) have been Highway Star, Run To The Hills (my right hand fingers were crying for mercy with this one), The Number of the Beast, Sympathy For The Devil (lots of freedom on that one). Oh! Darling was quite fun too, and Bring It On Home.
