I would say this conversation is fucking stupid and if anyone has problems understanding it go look up basic genealogy and citizenship laws by country. Unless you are native american you are not "american" but most native americans trace their routes back to eastern asia.. which by default makes all "americans" either of european or asian descent until you factor in the african american, which of course denotes the idea that all black people derive from africa.. Note how stupid this conversation is.

I know, but the topic of her origins has been under debate for almost 2 years now. It's been pointed out on numerous occasions that her parents are both American, and were teaching over in Britain at the time of her birth. She at the very least would have duel citizenship, but as both parents were American she is guaranteed American citizenship, and then factoring in that she has lived in the USA since she was 5 it shouldn't even be a topic of debate.

btw the whole thing with ashley graham is just for dumb people in the media to write breathless articles about plus-size models in the swimsuit edition. that kind of ginned-up attention is better than any ad they can buy.

@MarsVS She was born in the UK. However, her parents are American, she was raised in California, hell she doesn't even have British accent because she has lived in in the US sincce she was five

And Ashley's ad is just an ad, nothing else. She won't be featured in the magazine and most likely her name won't be there at all.

Lots of people are like that. Take Gigi, she has a Middle Eastern surname ( Lebanese father) Would you say she too is not American?

hmmm, it would probably have to be thursday or friday night. the issue comes out monday and fallon only airs on weeknights. there's nothing about it on his site (yet)
