2015 SI Swimsuit

 

I'll try to update the ROTY voting daily or whenever something major happens so here it goes

oooohhhhh snap.  Nina is cute in that sitting cover shot.

And Gen is done.  I think time is finally taking a toll on her boobs.  And this year she finally does bodypaint.

I'm super indifferent towards Nina, and while I do like those two shots of her, I find them very boring in terms of contrast. She has a great pose, but like LeBron said, her make up, skin, bathing suit, and background are all the same colour, and it alll just blends together for me. Maybe with different lighting, I would have liked those shots more, but looking at them right now I just get a wall of orange.

Maybe that come from the fact she doesn't have a beautiful face, not sure though

Isn't the ROTY per-determined?

Pretty much. The scores always shift at the last minute towards the person they want to win, now if a hacker gets involved and sways it in one direction last min they normally follow the hackers lead so it doesn't look bad on their part.

Half the time the scores don't even add up to 100% though. A couple of years ago there was 111% of the voting that came in lol, and the year before only 97%

Either way I don't understand the hype surrounding ROTY. It doesn't so anything other then give the model a  glorified title and insures they will be in the magazine for at least 1 more year. The model isn't guaranteed the cover, nor do they receive a special nod in the magazine or shoot. So what's the deal, why does it matter who wins? We all know that most of the rookies come back anyways - with the exception of last  year because they had so many.

Did you miss the 2014 cover? She's gonna have another for sure! This time solo.

I think for the models winning ROTY it does give them piece of mind to know they are guaranteed to come back at least once.

2006 ROTY was Brooklyn Decker, cover girl for 2010.

2007 ROTY IDK if it was Bar Refaeli or Irina Shayk, either way both women got the cover eventually.

2008 ROTY was Melisa Haro, was asked to come back once and bye. Jessica Gomes who lost that year, is still (sadly) in the magazine.

2009 ROTY was Esti Ginzburg, was asked to come back twice (or thrice?) but never got a cover. Was outlasted by Cintia Dicker but she didn't get a cover either.

2010 ROTY was Chrissty Teigen, cover girl for 2014.

2011 ROTY was Kate Upton, cover girl for 2012 & 2013.

2012 ROTY was Nina Agdal, cover girl for 2014.

2013 ROTY was Kate Bock, still doesn't have a cover. Hannah Davis who lost this year, is the cover girl now. Kate's odds of ever getting a cover tho are from little to none.

2014 ROTY was Sara Sampaio, still doesn't have a cover. And as much as I like her I just don't see it ever happening.

Also I just realized that ALL the girls from the Brazilian location last year (Anne V, Natasha, Bregje & Valerie) got cut this year. Ouch

Speak for yourself. I love Erin and was really bummed when she left. And she was really popular for a time when VS had her, so it's not that surprising she'd still have fans.

I never compared Gen and Nina ... read me better ... but if you ask me, i take Gen My opinion ...

There was, actually. Douzten was an Angel for longer, and is more popular than Erin, but that doesn't mean Erin wasn't missed. When people thought she was at the VSFS fittings, instagram and tumblr exploded with her fans. The same thing happened when she left VS. 

Erin is clearly a lot more popular than all the other rookies, while I hope she doesn't win because I think every single one of her pictures sucked and even if she was a mediocre Angel IMO, she had time enough with VS to built a fanbase that as expected thinks her pictures are zomg amazing!!! best thing ever she's perfection!! and are posting links left and right promoting their girl.

Love her or not, girlfriend has more fans, end of story
