Have you been busy at work?

Yeah, it is snowing as I am typing this Why are you jealous of those who are dealing w/ 10-12 inches of snow?

I must admit, I'm starting to cross over a little bit - from excitement about the chance to make a snow angel or an igloo, to worrying about making it to work safely on the metro. I think that's the exact point when you start to become a grown-up :yuckky:

But as John says, we only get it for a few days each year so it's a novelty. So I still like it partly for that, and partly because I like the way everything looks when it's covered in snow

Up until last week (since coming back from the Christmas break) work was really hectic. But the last few days of the week weren''t busy at all, so long may that continue

I do miss making snow angels Not so much snowball fights b/c I always get hammered

The snow was a right nuisance at the time, but in hindsight was quite funny. I destroyed my new shoes when I had to go cross-country but it was like a little adventure really. Going to get help was a little like a Captain Scott polar expedition, minus the frostbite, scurvy, Norwegians and deaths.

I'm doing well, thanks. I've had a nice peaceful weekend. The snow is still lingering but has now frozen over so it a bit of a nuisance; I was supposed to play football (soccer . . . ) but it was cancelled, and I couldn't go for a jog really as it is too slippery). It was good watching all the sport on over the weekend though; the Six Nations rugby championship has started again.

I have no clue why it is called "football" in the US. The foot isn't really used except at the starting kick and when they run (that's kinda pushing it ) It is also one of the dumbest sports

I don't really get American football. It just seems an excuse for American gents to drink lots, ogle cheerleaders and eat pork rinds, beef jerky (what is that? I've seen it in American gas stations; it looks rather disturbing. :| ) and other assorted, unhealthy snacks. I think that I generally struggle with American sports , although thanks to the Wii I now have a vague understanding of baseball. Ice hockey seems to just be a huge brawl in an ice rink with the participants poking a puck around every now and then. :| Do you follow any sports? (Apologies if I have just rinsed one that you like )

The weekend wasn't the most productive; it was a little restful though. This week is pretty relaxed, which is great!

waiter update!!!! I didn't bump into him at all the past days so last night i thought we should go to the cafe where he works and maybe he would be there.. and YES he was! so we said "hi" and then later when I was returning from the ladies' room, he was at the bar and I went there and talked for a bit about the exams blah blah and then I said "hey would you like to go out with me for a coffee some time?". YES I asked him out :blush: And he said "yeah sure". Well I told him that I would be leaving the next day (today) but I would come back next week, so we could arrange something and he was "ok". When I returned to our table, my friend told me that he was still looking at me :)

Now, we didn't exchange numbers, popping the question was already a huge step for me ( i just wanted to ask him and get the hell out of there LOL), but I know where to find him when I go there again, so I hope we'll have our date or something!

I haven't built one since I was about 8 but I can definitely recommend giving it a try. Unless it's like when you watch a movie that you haven't seen for years. You remember it being great but when you see it again it's terrible How's the weather for you now?

It's been a really busy at work again over the last couple of weeks. I'm working mostly on magazine ads at the moment. It's been a bit hectic but I think the worst of it is over for now

Our boiler died a death on Thursday night and we've had no heating in the house since then, so I spent most of the weekend just wandering the streets so I didn't have to sit in the cold at home
