The thing that determined much about how I feel about Karlie was her defensiveness when she was asked about her ties to the Kushner clan.
Now she is definitely not responsible for her in-laws actions, especially not her father-in-law or brother-in-law. But her reaction suggested that she herself is bothered by it and does not want to be reminded of it.
