Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2014 (GENERAL DISCUSSION)

How is it weird?

1. Cute catching song performed by a girl that Ed adores. He'd love to find a reason to have her back in some form.

2. Dance inspired lingerie (Tutu's, leg warmers, spandex, bedazzled leotards, fishnets, dance shoes (heeled). There are tons of genres to pull from for inspiration. FLASHDANCE

3. The chance for Candice or Karlie to open or close, and with both of them having both a background in dance it could be interesting (or a train-wreck). Think Tyra 2004 with her little tango entrance

And of course Taylor being able to strut the runway with her BFF's Karlie and Lily.

This is the move that got me into dance when I was little, actually the one that started it all was Staying Alive, but Flashdance cemented dance classes for me

I bet you Iggy Azalea will be performing at the show this year. I can totally see it.

Can we start predictions for who will be the performer considering the date is set?

I predict One Direction for PINK and solo performance, Iggy, and maybe one more performer. Ariana Grande and/or maybe Rita Ora (following the British theme)?

I think Ed Sheeran's got a chance, especially if he performs with Taylor. His new album came out recently and it's a lot more pop-y than his previous stuff.

Maybe Ellie Goulding, or Little Mix.(?)

Im thinking ariana grande is a possibility. Since the shows in London this year they're gonna do lots of advertising and im sure theyre gonna get big name performers to get more ratings. in my opinion.

I predict Iggy Azalea with Charli XCX singing "Fancy",and then Charli XCX alone with that "Boom Clap" song or whatever. or they can do Iggy with Ariana Grande with "Problem" and then have Ariana sing some other song (I haven't heard any of her solo songs, but I didn't hear of two of the performers last year so eh)

I don't think One Direction will perform, but if they need a third artist to fill in the space I can see them going for that Austin Mahone (is that his name) because he's the next Beiber and people are currently going crazy about him for some reason. Plus he's of age now

Nah Mahone isn't big enough to score a VSFS. His career isn't taking off as projected really. Most people still don't know who he is. So many new artists have arisen (Iggy, Lorde, Charli XCX, Ariana, 5sos) that I don't think he stands a chance.

If only VS could score Beyoncé. Now THAT would be a show.

I definitely think Little Mix is a possibility. Apparently VS has been playing their music at stores or commercials? IDK. Also as mentioned I see 5SOS, maybe Ariana Grande (ugh) and despite the fact it'd be awful I can still see Miley being a possibility. But TBH if there's anybody I want it's Shakira

Yeah I think this person basically sums up what would happen if Beyonce was there

I mean after all, when the Superbowl happened I didn't hear a word about the actual game, all everybody was raving about was Beyonce following with "Yass slay Beyonce you are my Queen~~~" kind of comments. I mean she'd be a great performer but she'd attract too much attention away from the models. Even Rihanna did that honestly. 

I think Beyonce would be too much of a show. People weren't happy with Taylor Swift or Bruno Mars, and they don't performe like Beyonce who literally demands attention while she's on stage. Plus, she might be too expensive for them. Are all the boys in 5sos legal?

I would want Beyonce to perform, she has amazing songs but I agree, it would be a huge mess, all the media would only talk about her,she would probably make a fire performance and if she wears some sexy outfit it will cause big attention, all eyes will only be on her but I hope they use one of her songs for segment without performers.

As for other performers I'm sure one of them will be british and I really think One Direction will be one of them, they are releasing a single "One Chance to Dance" in September/October (so...if there will be segment dance)and whole new album at the end of November,beside they are pretty much not attending any award shows and their tour ends before they release new album,I think timing would be good promotion for them to perform at VSFS and I personally love them and hope they perform.

Iggy Azalea is currently very popular I see her performing with Ariana but that song is very Pinkish

^ it could be a not-bad segment for PINK if done properly.. in the VS line it would look weird and cheap IMO

I only hope we never experience anything similar to Pink segment last year

I totally forgot about Miley! She could definitely be an option. She's not touring early December, right? She would definitely be great I think!

Regarding Beyonce, I think if VS coordinates the show correctly it could work. Obviously they can't stick her on the runway for every other segment, but I think solo performance + closing segment (with a remix of many of her songs) would be fucking incredible. I can imagine everyone (including all the angels) being totally starstruck with her there haha.

If I was coordinating, I would do One Direction for a segment, Iggy + Charli/Ariana/Rita Ora for PINK, and Beyonce for solo performance and closing segment. I would want the opening segment to be performer-less (like 2012) so that the attention is initially drawn to the models.
