KK     I absolutely LOVE Doutzen but KK's presence at VS was truly iconic as long as it lasted.

Petra   Kate didnt stay in the game long enough

 

Petra did 5 years and had one cover.  Kate did 4 years and had 3 covers.  I think Kate's SI record is much better.

Really?  Remarkable that SI would want the most popular model in the country?  Maybe even more popular than the magazine itself.  And I would definitely take Kate's last 2 years over her first 2.

Nemcova earned her cover during a more competitive era.

 

Upton barely had any challengers.

But Kate is much more popular than Petra ever was anyways.  And lack of competition doesn't explain that.

Based on what I have observed, it seems like most people are mainly basing their votes on likability/dislikability and putting very little weight on how well the model fits the brand.

I also think that people how forgotten just how big KK was for VS, at her very peak.

It is the reason why I used the word 'iconic' for KK, and also why IMO Kate didnt fit perfectly in SI last two years.

^ LOL...it's ok In the long run it doesn't matter how we vote b/c there could only be one "winner." The ultimate winner will be the best choice b/c it reflects the opinions of the overall BZ community
