just wanted to add my two cents:
the only time i've heard of bar was when she became leo's new gf. gisele on the other hand was already a famous high fashion model before leo. he just sort of became a bonus. with the VS contract, she didn't need leo to become a household name.
as for bar, this whole leo attachment is a benefit for her. everyone will know about her now.

I just saw her SI videos and after having heard her talk I have to say she's just the cutest little thing. I love in the end when she says bye and tries to excuse herself by saying "In Hebrew!". Very cute.

do you think that such a big bussiness like fashionbussiness,a concern like victorias secret, gets impressed by a young actor (who was playing a sob-stuff; that was the on this point of time the only film making leo famous, he uses his real talent just for a few years) an pushes the girlfriend of him? leo was just teeniedarling, he wasn´t able to make anybody as famous as giselle is.
well ok maybe she was kinda known in fashion world but really she wasn't known widely, for example i ( and all the rest people who aren't in fashion world) had no clue who is Gisele untill al those articles which shouted "Gisele a model who tempted Leo"

I don't want to butt in (actually, yeah I do) but was there an article called Gisele The Model Who Tempted DiCaprio? Because that's just too funny.
Here's the way I see it. Gisele & Bar - two very different type of models. Gisele was doing 100 shows a season on the runway, Bar was doing all sorts of catalogs. DIFFERENT. They were both well known in their respective areas but neither of them were really "supermodels". Because Gisele was a lot more in fashion than Bar, I doubt Bar will ever reach the height Gisele has in the career, but that doesn't mean she won't become famous either. She's the "girlfriend" and Gisele is the "ex". Years from now they'll both be the "exs" and thats what they will be mostly known for. As for Gisele getting as famous as she did, I don't credit Leo, I credit VS. They put her on the map and yeah, she probably got that because she was the current girlfriend of Leo. When Bar gets her VS contract, because I'm sure she will if she's still with Leo when Gisele leaves VS, no one knows how famous she'll become, but I give it a few years before anything serious happens. By then most of us won't even give a damn.
