I hope it will end up being good but so far it looks rather lifeless and uninspired

The first impressions of the new blade runner movie are positive (it's around 3 hours long)

The critical reception has been off the charts so far, I'm even contemplating going to see it in a crowded cinema.

I'd probably see it myself .  The trailers have been drab but apparently it's a cover up..

I think I will try to go when it's not crowded.

"Critics Consensus: Visually stunning and narratively satisfying, Blade Runner 2049deepens and expands its predecessor's story while standing as an impressive filmmaking achievement in its own right."

I think I might watch it sometime next week.  It's 164 minutes long.

It was good. Not overwhelming but... yeah, good. Visual stunning. If you don't like Ryan Gosling (and his very serious face) you have a problem, he's in almost every scene. I liked the slow telling especially in the first part, it's refreshing in a time where everything must be faster and faster - I heard people complaining about the length but I think it was good for the story and the atmosphere...

I would give 7 out of 10 stars.

^^^^Jade that's a main minus point for me- I don't like Ryan Gosling at all.

^I have the feeling he's repeating his Drive character again and again lately. Generally I liked him as an actor but his stone cold face hits my nerves in most of his latest movies - and not always in a good way

I'm not good at detailed reviews because I tend to give away spoilers, which I don't want to do.

I liked the movie, enjoyed the visuals, and the story was interesting. I liked the original, but I did not enter this movie in the same an invested fan would. So, I can't speak to whether someone who loved the first movie would appreciate the way the two stories work together or how the new movie compliments the first.

I've watched part of it so far.  It's a surprisingly good movie.  When I'm done I'll write a review.
