Sorry about that @Ed. Very cool that you know Maggie. I think it's the brand, and I also think that as a nurse, she may be ok with the shots, but I wouldn't dare to guess. She strikes me as a woman of character and class--I love learning about her careers and her family. From what I gather, she's embraced her status as a potential role model, which is incredibly cool. Respecting your view of things totally while still appreciating the images.

If you have a personal relationship with Maggie, this probably isn’t the right place to air that out. No disrespect intended, it’s just that you might regret it once you cool off a bit. Some of the things you’re saying are pretty infantilizing.

I doubt this was a mistake; the whole natural/unedited/body positivity thing is what that brand is going for. It would be an incredible misstep for a company like that to release photos without the model’s consent.

Its true like she's such a gorgeous woman that she can do any type of modeling. So it really comes down to her agency, her contract and what she wants to do. I have a hard time believing this wasn't a true shoot she didn't want out there, but again who knows.

I get what you mean @Ed. But she's an adult and if she's as smart and kind and amazing as you say then don't feel bad. I'm sure she knows what she's doing. Now if she was doing Rachel Cook level stuff THENNN i'd be like for sure I get it, but this is IMO still within reason.

Say nothing @Ed. youve spoken your piece and you are entitled to that opinion but if you consider yourself a true maggie fan but cant respect the decisions she has made for where she wants to go with her career then just read and dont type any more responses. Enjoy the work that she makes. 

There’s nothing to say, I met this girl after a baseball practice I was on a twins baseball team when I was a fucking baby man - shits fucked up. Some things you don’t want to see on the internet, it’s pretty clear there’s people on here that have no empathy for the situation. Not right.

But I'll give you an out though, the site also has sheer pics and no use of nipple covers/pasties with other models as well so this was clearly communicated & agreed upon prior to the shoot.

That's not really that easy to do. I grew up with Maggie (we weren't close friends but she did date a friend of mine for a year in middle school) but when her personal Facebook turned into her public page I lost the ability to DM her since I don't use twitter/Instagram at all. Regardless, Ed just sounds upset that his imaginary version of Maggie isn't real. She's just a normal person and we'll likely never know the extent of pressure she faces every day in the industry to do more nude/risqué shoots. I don't think some sheer ecomm pics are anything to be upset over as a lingerie model.

I'm guessing you guys are all American, right?  Why are Americans so uptight about nipples?  The rest of the world has no difficulty with the concept that a woman can be a lovely, sweet, decent person and have her nipples photographed occasionally.
