@Stromboli1 I think that Kate returning being marked by her getting the cover was agreed upon between Kate and SI. Kate coming back and doing just a regular beach shoot wouldn’t have made any sense.

Now Kate getting three cover versions is a different thing. I think it's possible that they were thinking of having multiple cover models like Page Six suggested (a younger and an older legend Kate and Christie respectively and an athlete).

I can see why some models might find it unfair though because even if they had gotten the shot, they still wouldn’t have gotten the cover.

I guess desperation (talking about SI) is a stinky perfume/cologne.

Vita, Rose, Barbara, Bianca, Bo, Lais are my standouts. Love their shots.

Ive loved Hannah D for so long but her big boob job just ruined her for me a bit. Also a little disappointed with the Hannah F shoot but that's thanks to Yu being the photographer.

I think this issue looks a lot better then last year. Wish Emily D was there over Kate Bock.

Ben Watt's shots are the best imo. I love their colors. 

Barbara has like 4 photos at least what would be great for cover.

It's difficult to choose. Barbara's shoot is all in all amazing. I have at least 5 favourite from her. I also like Hailey Clauson, Kelly Gale,Samantha Hoopes, Kate Upton, Ana de Paula and Vita Sidorkina's shoot.

Chrissy Teigen, Nina Agdal and Hannah Jeter were a big disappointment for me. (But Hannah at least had few good shoots. The stylist messed her up).

This would've been a nice Bo shot, but those shitty bottoms ruined the shot.

Views on this years issue..

Barbara-Had the best shoot this year. hands down. Styling, bikinis, her poses were much improved and she was in her element for sure. Cover worthy shots in almost every picture.

Best shot:

Hailey- Great shoot, the Finland location is awesome! Beach shots are nothing special.

Best shots:

Nina- Seriously fire the team that shot and styled her this year. Didn't they learn after Erin's tragic shoot last year? Nina is one of the best SI models and a lot of the shots aren't anything special. Though these shots are very good, IMO coverworthy:

Hannah F-Like Nina she got tainted with bad styling, though part of the reason her shoot is bad is because she has lost way too much weight. This is about the only good shot:

Lais- Had an amazing shoot this year, beautiful location. Like alot of people said though the pics are more focused on the location rather than her. She still looks great though, I'm sure she'll be back next year! Best shots:

Mckenna- Her body paint shots were amazing. I hope we see her back next year!

The rest....don't really have an opinion either way.
