Kate is above average lookswise but this is diminished by her rather cold exterior.

I don't really like icing on cake, particularly white. Oversweet and doesn't complement the cake.
On the other hand if the icing is mixed 50:50 with cream then it's pretty good and gives the cake part a kick.

The overwhelmingly majority of famous personalities (of every stripe- celebrities, politicians etc.) are popularized through the media/internet due to luck, narcissism, & ambition, not due to any inherent worth.
They aren't worth the time, attention, and prestige given to them so freely. Most are "worse than useless".
The worst of these are famous actors, who are specialists at reading outloud yet are treated with great regard, simply due to aggressive advertising and promotion.
