Amy Smart was born on March 26, 1976 in Topanga Canyon, California. Her family includes mother Judy, father John and brother Adam. Amy is a vegetarian, studied ballet for 10 years, started off her career as a model walking catwalks in Milan and New York, and made a name for herself in the hit teen football film Varsity Blues alongside good friend and former roommate Ali Larter. Amy then continued with successful acting roles in films such as Road Trip, Rat Race and The Butterfly Effect as well successful stints on the television shows Felicity and Scrubs.
When she isn't perfecting her acting with movie roles, she spends her time speaking on behalf of the California organization Heal The Bay, attending charities for animal rights, holds a seat on the board of directors of the Environmental Media Association, as well as being involved in the Step Up Woman's Network.
Amy currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
