That would not surprise me at all. I enjoy stories from actors when they are approached on the street by someone yelling at them for something his/her character did. People have a hard time separating the actor/person from the character sometimes.

IIRC she was attacked for "looking by a tranny"/ manly on her thread but obviously this is an over-reaction.  She is extremely feminine but has a bit of masculine facial expression but it's well balanced (eg. Gisele Bundchen is an example).  I've never watched GG but it's about wealthy private school students in Manhattan and she was probably a 'queen bee' type of character.
