Well done to Greg Van Avermaet for winning a men's cycling road race that bordered on apocalyptic at times. I was all in for Majka towards the end when he started turning himself inside out, but there were a lot of hard luck stories out there. Any number of them would have been deserved winners.
Watching all the sports that have to do with water (swimming, synchro etc) for me is as entertaining as is football for the rest of the world. I could watch them all day.

If there's one thing I've learned from watching some of the action yesterday, it’s that water polo is brilliant.

Did they ever get to the bottom of why the pool turned green? I don't think I'd have fancied diving into it, it didn't look particularly healthy.

I heard it was algae overgrowth. They either didn't put or put enoughof the treatment solution initially.
