My lock is 70 now, and I just started doing kara, I hope to move up soon and do more raids like BT cause t6 drops there

I'm a bit annoyed with my lock after the patch, I am always get out DPS'd by Hunters and now Ret pallys. Drives me up a wall. Hopefully when I hit 80 these things will balance out.
I lost interest in my shammy, thinking about leveling a frost mage. I think I am meant to always be a caster, I don't like being 'in' the fight so much. Maybe a shadow priest. I have been working on my lock so much that I only have that toon so high. I think I'm the only one in my guild with one 70 
If you play WoW are you a part of a Hard Core Raiding guild or are you casual? I'm one of the older members of the best Horde guild on my server, however we aren't raiding currently because 25 man naxx content was cleared in a few days after the xpac came out.
