I saw it, it's very interesting to see the connections to RE2.  It would be cool if these characters ran into each other some how.  I like Jill's character model a lot.

there is new Resident Evil in the works.  Rumors are that it is either:

1. Code Veronica remake

2. RE4 remake

or

3. RE 8 : Village

Personally I love Code Veronica, which is highly underrated IMO. RE4 was terrible (even worse than RE5 - lost in nightmares DLC was better than the actual game) so please no

I haven't checked out resistance yet.

I had Code Veronica for the Dreamcast- I played it once and never played it again.  I just didn't like it compared to Re2 and Re3.  Re Zero and Re-remake I watched on youtube and enjoyed.

I felt that RE7 had some cool ideas- bring back old Re horror elements but with 3rd person style.  however it felt half-made like Re3.  Eg. there was basically one enemy type.   I think they finally got it right with Re2-remake and Re3-remake- they just have to use the same proven engine to make bigger and better games.    What do you think of Re7?

Re4 is much beloved.  I never played but watched it.  I feel like it's not Resident evil, but rather an action shooter.  Re5-Re6 is a continuation of the same style- I have no interest in this either.

In an ideal world, the Re2 and Re 3 remakes would have had the original appeal of the originals but far expanded and modernized- preferably with the aide of good writers.

Re2 could easily be 15 hours long and Re 3 could be 12 hours- with a lot of added story, depth, mystery, environments etc.  But Capcom are hacks hehe and made 2 games for the price of 1.

@Matt!  do you know/remember Dino Crisis and Parasite Eve from the 1990s/early 2000s?  They were pretty good and had a lot of survival horror concepts as well.  RE2 was the king of them all though. 

The multiplayer looks fun to play, but it's confusing to watch.  The concept is pretty original and neato
