Well, that's a bit of an oxymoron. They wouldn't be too 'devout' if they're posing for playboy now would they. You can only call someone 'devout' if they follow the rules of their religion. Posing for playboy is secular/sinful according to the bible therefore they are probably Christian by 'name' only. Their religion means nothing to them. And I highly doubt too many muslims pose for playboy either LOL

Playboy's mentioned in the Bible? I must have missed that passage in confirmation classes. But I can easily imagine a devout Christian posing for the mag, because whatever woman it is might not see it as a sin, seeing it instead as a celebration of her body.

Yes pornography is mentioned everywhere in the bible as a sin....as is 'looking with lust' at naked women. The bible doesn't have to say the word 'playboy' for it to be considered pornography. Again, if a person poses for playboy..they aren't being very 'devout', more like a hypocrite. To be devout, you have to actually 'follow' your religion otherwize you aren't being very devout. You can't call yourself a 'devout Christian' if your lifestyle doesn't reflect that. I highly doubt anyone whose religion actually 'means' something personal to them, would pose for playboy. Simply 'calling' yourself devout and then actually 'being' devout by your actions are two VERY different things.

It's like saying there are many devout Christian porn-stars. It's a hypocracy/contradiction to what you believe in. The two don't usually go hand-in-hand.
