I just wanted to share this because some of you might be interested.

I purchased a poster of Adriana from ebay and realized that the seller merely had the poster printed for me through a company called PhotoWorks (www.photoworks.com). You upload the photo to your account on the site, and can purchase a variety of photographs and posters, up to 24x36. The poster I have is very nice and very good quality. So, if you want a certain photo in poster form, this company can do it for you.

Hmm, that sounds a lot like an advertisement. If that is against some regulations here please let me know and I'll delete this post ASAP.

Now, here's a rundown on torrents.

When you are downloading a file via torrent, you are connecting to a network of users who have the file available for upload on the network. It's like a peer-to-peer downloading program, except that you can access numerous peers simultaneously.

When getting started you'll first want to download a torrent program to be able to download/upload torrent files. There are probably many programs available (which you can find using google), but I just use BitTorrent (www.bittorrent.com). Once you have the program installed, you'll need to find a .torrent file of the file you want to download. Using a variety of torrent search sites (www.thepiratebay.com, www.torrentreactor.com, to name a few), general search engines, or direct links you can find the torrent for the file you want. Download the torrent file (it will be very small since it serves only as a protocol to connect ot other users to download the real file) and open it in the torrent program you are using (BitTorrent for me) and start downloading.

Once you initiate downloading, you will notice that there are a certain number of seeds and peers/leechers. Seeders are uploading the entire file whereas peers/leechers are only uploading/downloading an incomplete version of the file. This makes seeders critical. If there are many seeders and peers uploading a certain torrent file the download will go faster.

So, for the torrent I posted earlier (which sadly is lacking both seeders and peers...) you would download the file in the link I posted. Then open that file in BitTorrent and start downloading the real file. Then once it's all finished you have the file! And, as a courtesy, you should seed the file for other users to download.
