Another person she needs to let go of is Patrick unfortunately... He seems kind and all but it’s Adriana, I think his make up style just isn’t for her (because she doesn’t need much of it). She just needs to update, her face certainly is the least of her problems (she will always be most beautiful) it’s moreso how she presents herself online...I get a little frustrated because her posts don’t justify how beautiful she is!! There are literally millions of photographs of her by the best photographers in the world that I believe would help her feed look great. The Marc Jacobs ad she posted could’ve been the video instead of a screenshot pic for example, she looked unreal in that vid ad. I understand if it won’t look like a typical IG baddie feed or whatever these Instagram models are doing, but at least something similar to Candice, Alessandra, or Taylor Hill’s (whose feed isn’t even highly curated)

@secretlife2000i think anyone on here would help her for free and do a much better job lol. Adriana just doesn't seem to care or think it matters. But she needs someone to tell her to care. And now that she has no agency, there is even less hopes of that. I hope she lets go of this no agency idea soon because i do not think that was the best idea for her. I wouldn't even start talking about her outfits when she cant even post one pic good for instagram. Todays story she reposted, should have gone on her feed. She likes many pics others post of her but doesn't post them herself. Who know why. 

@lucyford I think what’s weird to me is that she’s surrounded by all these A listers, I mean she literally used to hang with Rihanna and I think it wouldn’t hurt to take inspiration from her celeb contemporaries  (feed and style wise). Most of these celebrities would literally kill to look the way she does and wear whatever they can (and she has the money to!!). I feel that the whole agency thing has to do with her outlook on independence, and she IS. She doesn’t need to let go of her agency to prove that...girl’s worth 95 million, she made that clear decades ago. The Society is definitely not gonna do her favors anymore (the fact that Chris didn’t offer to help manage her acct while he was still handling her rlly annoys me) but IMG or Ford would likely help 

I also hope Lais just tells her straight up that her media presence could do better lol, I think Lais seems to understand the SM ropes and she’s close to Adri

@secretlife2000  Yeah i think leaving The Society was fine, they never did much for her ever really. Im not sure why Chris never seemed to do anything in managing her account either. Her publicist Andrea, also never seemed to tell her anything. I think Lais would never say that to her. I think a problem for Adriana is that her friends never tell her anything. During quarantine,  Adriana was only further damaging her image with her conspiracy reposts and vaccine beliefs. And i would come in here and question why her friends never tell her how bad something is coming across.

@lucyford I think they all respect her too much to give her constructive criticism. I think she would be better off, as you said, just reposting things from her fans and people she works with on both her social media and stories. Where are the Vincent Peter pics and Peter Lindbergh work on there?? Or little throwbacks of her Guess & Donna Karan campaigns like what Naomi does w Versace / Alaia...I just feel like she has to be reminded of her status, and that yes it doesn’t have to change her but there’s a certain public image she has to uphold to maintain relevance

even a short clip of her Super Bowl ad would get her more likes than Candice for sure 

@secretlife2000  I think her close Miami friends prob don't say anything cause they don't want to make her like mad. And yea you have a point, she doesnt even need to go do these shoots Ig influencers do to get pics. She could simply repost her fan accounts and stuff she is getting tagged in and done.

@lucyford I feel the same way about her Miami friends, I don’t think they’re people in the spotlight either so they don’t know how to present themselves that way...they’re also as laid back I guess

I’m going through Doutzen’s IG and it seems that her gen of models has this thing with posting quotes, I wonder why that is lol

@Sophie20 I kinda think she is because I feel that someone was trying to fix her feed today, I'm not quite sure though...I'm hoping she is, it's better than no agency. Just found this online, this article was dated August last year https://wwd.com/fashion-news/fashion-scoops/adriana-lima-signs-with-caa-1203234766/ . Also, apparently Ale just dropped IMG for CAA in Jan this year: https://wwd.com/fashion-news/fashion-scoops/exclusive-alessandra-ambrosio-signs-caa-1203455493/ . I actually hope we see more work from Ale and Adriana together, I miss seeing them together

@Sophie20 We all kind of thought she was with CAA but were thrown off by the no agency post. I guess she just meant no modeling agency? But i think she is with CAA. Because she was with CAA and Full Picture PR was working with her in 2019 when she claimed she has been without an agency 

Hmmm I feel like CAA might be more of a mother agent, they also have actors/actresses on their roster. Maybe it's not just for modelling per se, they maybe book her events and appearances etc. I suspect the VMA hosting and stuff along the lines of were from CAA

@secretlife2000  Same thoughts. I think CAA in general is about appearances and branding. But the fashion sector seems to be growing. Their website says they collaborate with editors, casting directors, photographers, etc.  and that they are now working with KCD, a fashion services agency . so lets hope she is still with them at least

nhlovesadri, this video is a gem, is a pure gem ❤️ i loved this but also confused. To my knowledge, Adriana's career started before she won this contest, i have always read that she's started to working at the age 13 but i never found this information very convincing until she herself admitted this in numero magazine interview. I remember at least one of her work before this contest. I believe there was age limit for this kind of contest in Brasil so it was very common to apply after starting a career.

So did you mean winning this contest gave her chance to start a career in U.S.?  I'm asking because i don't know when she moved to U.S.?

And i want to also ask, Do you or any member have submission photographs of adriana for this contest please? 

@patt she did some minor works in local Brazilian stuff, like an eyewear commercial in 1993:

That contest was part of the Ford Supermodel of The World, winning the Brazilian selections, that were this one for her region, Salvador, then the Ford Supermodel of Brazil one:

Maybe there were more intermediate steps in bewteen , idk.

She was admitted to the Gloabl contest with all the winners in NYC. She had to travel to the US for the first time in her life, also the first time she took a plane. She knew 0 English at the time. She ended up 2nd at the Ford Supermodel of the World competition, but in the few days she was in NYC she did other castings there and got selected for many of them, and since then she never stopped.

She is at 2:04 with the black and white polka dots dress, at the NYC contest.

That's how her career started for real, before it was just some beauty contests, local commercials something like that in Brazil.
