I read a bit, it looks like the Geralt/Ciri quest is the strong point of the season, with the weak point being Yenn's arc and the Political backstory.
In the books the fantasy political/military backstory was also the weakest part, anyone making a show about the Witcher should cut it down to a bare minimum. Human interest is the focal point of the Witcher.
