was his movie kind of mystery ?

I loved the movie. It reminded me of a poem, bitersweet art...
B. Wishaw played his role very good! ![]()
I loved the book!!!!
The movie i didn't like at all...

The book was a dissapointment. It started fairly promising, but it eventually lead to a dissapointing climax.
Perfume is awesome and a wonderful story.

The book isn't bad at all, it's just different. If you have the expectation that it#s a normal criminal story or a typical mystery book you won't like it, cause it's just something different...

The book is overrated. I fail to see why there was such a hype surrounding it during the early 80s.

the movie kinda sucks

loved the movie & the book
but I hate the "orgy" part think it's ridiculous and waste the story

what she said ^^

What a letdown I was expecting this to be a great movie but after alll the comments I read...
doesn't seem like it. I thought the book was good...hmmm I'm still gonna see the movie though. Just to see it. ![]()

And it was a letdown! <_<

When I first read the book I though it was okay. Then we analyzed it in school and now I love it. You just have to pay attention to a few aspects, like e.g. that the narrator wants to convince you that Grenouille has no feelings which is actually not the case. I think it's fascinating if you, as a reader, can not trust the narrator...
